Bespoke software

Custom Software Development

We start with your actual operational problem, not a feature list — then build software your team can still run and maintain after we leave.

Who it's for

Ops leads drowning in spreadsheets

Your team has outgrown the workaround, and everyone routes around it instead of through it.

Founders who inherited a system nobody trusts

A former freelancer or agency built something that's now a liability.

Companies with real integration problems

Two or three tools need to talk to each other, and none of them do, cleanly.

What's included

01
A working session on your current process
We start by understanding the operational problem, not just the feature list.
02
A data & systems audit
A review of the spreadsheets, legacy system, or integrations we'll need to work around or replace.
03
A written, fixed-scope estimate
A documented scope and price before any work starts.
04
Weekly build demos
You see working software every week, not a status report.
05
Automated tests on every module
Core logic is covered by tests before it reaches staging.
06
A documented handover
Architecture notes, environment access and a maintenance guide at the end.

How we work on this

Before we scope anything, we spend time understanding the process you're actually trying to fix — the spreadsheet, the workaround, the system nobody trusts. Discovery here means mapping what exists today, including the legacy data and the third-party tools it has to keep talking to, before we write the estimate.

What we commit to

You own the code and the IP.

Everything we build transfers to you on completion and payment — no licensing traps, no dependency on us to keep running your own product.

Senior engineers only.

Every person on your engagement is senior. Nobody junior is billed at a senior rate, and nobody senior pitches the work only to hand it to a team you never meet.

EU-based, GDPR-native.

We operate under Portuguese and EU law, in your timezone, with data handling that's GDPR-compliant by construction, not by afterthought.

A written estimate before we start.

You get a written, fixed-scope estimate before any work begins — not a verbal ballpark, not a moving target.

Representative engagement — anonymised

Operations platform for a logistics and distribution business

Stock counts and supplier orders now live in one system the whole team can see and trust, and the business no longer needs a specific person in the room to know what’s in stock.

Common questions

Can you work with our existing systems and data, or does everything get rebuilt from scratch?

Usually the former. Most of what we're asked to fix isn't broken end to end — it's one or two workflows and a pile of data that's outgrown a spreadsheet. We scope around what already works and replace what doesn't, rather than defaulting to a rebuild because that's easier to estimate.

What happens if the scope changes midway?

It goes through a written change request with a revised estimate before we continue. We don't quietly absorb scope creep into the original price, and we don't stop work to argue about it — you get a number, you decide, and only then does the change happen.

Who owns the code once the project is finished?

You do. Code and IP transfer to you on completion and full payment — that's a standing commitment, not a negotiated extra. There's no licensing arrangement that leaves you dependent on us to keep running your own product.

Who will I actually talk to during the project?

The engineers doing the work, not a rotating account manager. You get a weekly check-in during active build phases and async updates in between, through whatever channel makes sense for your team.

Tell us what's slowing your team down.

We'll tell you honestly whether custom software is the answer, and what it would cost to build.
